More coolness spotted by Boing Boing:

Shannon Plumb's short online films.

NYC-based Shannon Plumb makes odd little movies with a Super 8 camera, and you can watch them online. Quirky, funky -- like something Jacques Tati and Charlie Chaplin would brainstorm over a drink in a Brooklyn dive bar.

Dept. of Brave New Sounds

A picture named maria.jpg D.I.Y. Meets N.R.L. (No Record Label). By selling strictly on the Web, might jazz artists actually be able to make a buck or two? By By FRED KAPLAN. [The New York Times > Technology]

This is interesting, especially since I'm preparing a CD for sale through my online store. But the REALLY interesting thing are the special features:

On Ms. Schneider's Web site, fans can order her CD for $16.95. For an additional $35 to $95, they also gain access to printed scores, rehearsal sessions, interviews, post-concert question-and-answer sessions and commentaries, including a two-hour audio stream of Ms. Schneider analyzing several of her arrangements.

On Mr. Hall's site, for $60, fans can watch him give a guitar lesson.

Very, very cool.

Cool! Just one more thing to love about the U.S.A.!

SpaceShipOne-themed online comic.

A must for model rocket geeks: The Joy of Tech has created a comic about SpaceShipOne. Link (Thanks, Robert Otlavan) [Boing Boing]
