dept. of now playingin da auto, on itunes and in my ead: da name of dis band is bangin eads still da wickedest live set eva, made evun betta by da additional material. tho', i ave to say dat da original picks were stone-cold classic performances, put up just right.

dis is my seminal tunes epiphany (euphony?)- da one record dat made me dig to pick up a guitar and ave a go at it myself. also, in da weird world of rural nebraska, it cost me two bitchs, to quote one- "this is weird. ghod, yous is such a bitch. put on some journey and take me westside." twenty-odd years lata and it still sounds as fresh and startlin as it did whun i first popped into my turbo trans is's cassette deck. david byrne and adrian belew is on fire throughout, wiv byrne's underrated, textural, guitar playin lightin up disc one and belew soloin wildly all ova disc 2.

afta earin dis i went right out and get myself a stratocasta, byrne and belew's axe of choice. i've still got it, as a matta of fact.
