A window booth of a big boy diner. not a corner booothe, but one that runs paralell to the big windows in front, just like in every dinner of danger setup. A woman and a priest are handcuffed together under the table.
CRAZY MAGGIE
let's look at this freaking coffee mug. I mean, really, really, FUCKIN' look at it. You know?
THE PRIEST

Where am I to cast my gaze, Margaret? Upon the porcelin's indigo and piss stripes that hover above the crazed eggshell bowel that clings to an equally split turn of clay that lampreys and insinuates it's half-moon pretentions to being a handle? Or should I just look down? Down upon a pale cracked landscapd of dark brown acrid liquids osmotically drawing out the new islands and lands of the Aral Sea, running down to nothing but crazed and cracked land with a hot noxious brew boiling underneath it all and no way for us to get a decent sip of Joe before he dies trying to wipe it all up with his tattered, buttonless sleeve.
CRAZY MAGGIE
I'm going suck it all up and spit it at the smubby bastard in the clerical coller.
CRAZY MAGGIE goes to to THE PRIEST and spits a saucer's worth of coffee over his head, like a fountain.
THE PRIEST
