G'day Clams,

This is to warn you that old man winter is on his way. We have had two nights where the temperature dipped into the minus side of the scale. It's evil clams. It's a seasonal clamity, I tells ya.

On my fire escape, the crows are outnumbering the squirrels to get the peanuts. And crows look kind of desperate flying away with one sad little peanut in their beaks. Why, even the bluejays have a system whereby they can carry two at a time, but the poor ol' dumb crows just don't seem to get it. (see attachment now)

Also, my Chinese Elm seems to have dried out a tad. I'm afraid I may have killed it, =:-O so if anybody knows anything about reviving an Ulmus Mulmus, do let me know. Right now, I'm hoping it's only a little cheesed off at me and has lost all of its leaves to show its displeasure. If that's the case, it's working fine because I feel like poo having taken such a beautiful tree and possibly dehydrated it. Fortunately, I was bright enough to take a clipping when it was first consigned to my rather slack-assed custody. If all else fails, maybe I can raise a new one in a few years.

And that's the Ice News from the true North strong and breezy. I hope all is well with the rest of the clams, and especially that ClamLord is succeeding at his Phoenix act and arising from the ashes with a new and improved vigour.

Keep your powder dry and your foot warm clams,
Tim (as in "Or maybe it's just Fall, and all the leaves have tumbled off naturally?" `(:)
